'microsoft' Office 15 technical preview kicks off

microsoft project 2010
Microsoft is kicking off of the technical preview for it is microsoft project 2010 client, servers and cloud providers today, January 30!

A beta of each of the same project professional 2010 deliverables are going to be available to the consumer in "late summer, " according to a different post on the microsoft project 2007 Executive blog!

Microsoft officials are not commenting within the features in any a part of Office 15; on the planned release-to-manufacturing (RTM) as well as general availability date; or on whether the technical preview should include a version of Office that will work on Windows 8 with ARM! (I asked about every one of these!) Update: Also, for those asking, we also have absolutely no idea on platform-support specifics - like whether this preview as well encompasses the rumored Office for iPad; and whether it includes a separate non-touch-centric Office 15 update for all not using tablets/touch-enabled netbooks!

I've heard from my own contacts that Microsoft's goal is always to RTM Office 15 by the end of calendar 2012! I've heard the Softies are wavering backwards and forwards between calling Office 15 "Office 2012" and also "Office 2013! " (If this product RTMs very late inside the year, they may opt for any 2013 name!)

With Office 2010, July 2009 was the date with the tech preview release! November 2009 was everyone beta! February 2010 was the actual release candidate! Release to manufacturing what food was in April 2010, and general availability appeared to be June 2010!

Microsoft chose the participants due to its Office 15 Technology Ownership Program (TAP) application earlier this month, at least according to 1 tweet I caught (and the fact that sender removed, though not before I had an opportunity to grab a screen shot from it)!

Microsoft typically includes choose partners and customers inside its Office TAP method!

There have been relatively few leaks about Office 15 up to now! One tidbit we've heard is how the client suite will likely add a new application that is definitely codenamed "Moorea! " Moorea sounds such as former Office Labs' Canvas regarding OneNote, which allowed testers to be able to navigate and edit notebooks in a new way by providing a high-level canvas-view coming from all their content!
